Hairy Bikers' fans broke down in tears as they watched Dave Myers' final ever episode.

The TV chef, 66, passed away last month, two years after he revealed he was undergoing treatment for an unspecified type of cancer.

Some viewers headed to BBC iPlayer to watch Dave's last episode early, ahead of it airing on Tuesday evening.

They urged Si King 'to keep on going' after watching Dave's final scenes with his best friend.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to say they were already crying just two minutes into the episode and thanked the chef for the years of joy he brought to TV screens.

Some viewers headed to BBC iPlayer to watch Dave's last episode early, ahead of it airing on Tuesday evening

They wrote: 'Even watching The Hairy Bikers upsets me now'.

'Just watched the Hairy Bikers and knowing that Dave is gone I couldn't help myself but break down.'

'Two minutes into the last ever Hairy Bikers and already I'm crying especially when Dave said: "let's make these last miles count".

'When Si started to get emotional at the end of the final ever Hairy Bikers that's when it hit me, there will never be another Hairy Bikers, thanks for the banter and the awesome TV shows. Rest easy Dave.

'Watching the last Hairy Bikers programme last night, I was astonished that Dave Myers had been receiving chemotherapy during the filming period. He did so well to get through that.'

'Just finished watching the last Hairy Bikers. I've been watching them for nearly 20 years without even knowing. And without even knowing it they've taught me so much - dry herbs at the start, fresh at the end. Gutted. Rest in peace Dave. Keep on going Si.'

The emotional final scenes saw Dave and Si wrap up their incredible journey.

They talked about how much the tour meant to them and told each other they love one another.

Dave was receiving chemotherapy throughout filming for the 650 mile road trip down the West coast and as the trip drew to a close in Devon and Dorset, he poignantly remarked: 'Who knows what the future holds but for the moment, I'm living in the present, and it's pretty fine.'

He continued: 'We've had a blast, lovely landscape, new friends and great food.

'And the two of us back together, doing what we do best. The west really will be a trip to remember,

'It has been amazing, love you'.

Si choked back tears as he struggles to find the words to express himself, admitting: 'I'm just lost for words. It's quite remarkable what he's done.'

BBC Two has continued to air Dave's final Hairy Bikers series which sees the iconic duo continue tour some of their favourite spots in the UK.

After the news of Dave's passing last month, the strong friendship between the pair and their love for adventure and great food seems even more poignant.

In the final series, the duo explored a watercress farm, a rum distillery and Exmouth fishmongers, saving the best until last as they concluded the series with a visit to Michael Caines Michelin starred Lympstone Manor.

As the pair explored the chef's vineyard, Dave gushed: 'You know this is such a special trip for the pair of us.

'You know after the last 18 months and we've known you for a number of years now Michael and I can honestly say hand on my heart I couldn't think of a better climax!'

Sitting down for a meal at the gorgeous restaurant, Dave looks full of happiness as he indulges in the delicious food with his best friend.

Joking he remarked: 'I feel like I am Cleopatra sitting in a bath of a****s milk, do you know what I mean?'

As Michael asked: 'Where did that come from Si?', the Geordie cook replied: 'Listen I have had 25 years of this dude, it's like what similes, I still to this day don't know where they come from'.

The pair's strong friendship is clearer than ever, as Dave continued: 'It's been about 650 miles this trip.

'We've been on the road now for nearly 20 years you know from the Baltic to Africa we've always found something good and also the comradery and friendship around the table.'

Dave said: 'And it's been tough at times. You know I've had chemotherapy all the time we've been filming, it hasn't been easy. Being here with you I long for this'

Michael teased: 'Well it has only taken you 20 years to find me but I am so glad you are here,' as Si added: 'But you know we saved the best until last!'

As the episode drew to a close, Si reflected: 'Well we've made it.'

Dave continued: 'And it's been tough at times. You know I've had chemotherapy all the time we've been filming, it hasn't been easy, but we've got there you know and it's just a wonderful feeling. Being here with you I long for this.

Choking back tears, Si said: 'We've done it, but more importantly he's done it. He's my mate but I love him like family, like a brother, and... I'm just lost for words. It's quite remarkable what he's done.

'This is a pay off to your hard work, to your will, to your effort,' he added, as Dave admitted: 'It's a dream come true Kingy...

'The two of us back together, doing what we do best. The west really will be a trip to remember.'

As the two embraced in a final hug before the credits, said: 'It has been amazing,' as Si agrees: 'It has bro, it has.'

Kissing on the cheek, Dave said: 'I love you', and Si replied: 'I love you too,' as the pair's television journey came to an end.

After the credits rolled, a tribute read: 'In loving memory of our friend, Dave Myers.'

Dave filmed his last show last year which had only just started to be shown on BBC Two when Si announced his friend had died.

The BBC decided to continue to air the series in tribute.

Earlier episodes in the series showed Si filming solo as Dave continued with his treatment.

As the TV chef was left without his other half, Si shared some heartfelt words as he reflected on how odd it felt to be without his mate.

He admitted: 'I genuinely wish my best mate was here because he would absolutely love this,' before adding: 'It is odd without him'.

The Hairy Bikers have always been a double act, and Si admitted he felt odd travelling on the bike alone.

'I didn't like riding on my own, particularly, but I'm going to take him some produce back and have a nibble. It's odd without him.'

As Dave returned to visit a historic railway in Portmadog, he enjoyed a lifelong ambition of driving a steam train.

The star explained: 'When I visited this area as a young lad, Bob would have already been working on these impressive locomotives. Sadly, we didn't have the money to ride these rails back then, so this trip feels all the more special.'

After watching his close pal lap up the experience, Si said: 'It was nice to see my best mate driving a train. It was just lush to see a smile on his face because he had a bloody rough time.'

Dave added:  'I missed this, last year Kingy, such a b****y awful year,' before he continued with the heartbreaking words: 'Thirty years we have talked nonsense, and yet it long continue'.

Dave announced he was receiving treatment for cancer in May 2022 and bravely kept the public up to date with his progress in a series of emotional TV specials.

He died at the end of February with his family and friends by his side, including his lifelong friend Si.

It was Si who announced the sad news of Dave's death, sharing a tribute on social media.

The Hairy Bikers Go West final episode airs on BBC Two at 8pm on Tuesday
